anyone know what i can do to repair a spark plug thread that is messed up???
the plug wont go in right, and when i turn it on u can hear it hissing like air wanting to come out. any suggestions
Take the spark plug with you to the parts store (they will ask you what size spark plug hole) and ask for a product called Heli-coil. It is a small coil of wire that you use a tool to screw down into the spark plug hole. Break a tab off at the bottom of the coil you have screwed into the head and then screw the spark plug in.
It may take some doing the first time but its cheaper than having the head redone and also very dependable and quick.
