What tool do i need to take the doors off an 07 Jeep Wrangler?
I currently have a Torx driver with a T30 bit and a T40 bit that are used for removing the hard top. I think the doors may also be a Torx bit, but i dont know what the size is. Does anyone know the correct size for removing the doors? Or is it a completely different tool? It is a 2 door Wrangler X model if that matters.
All Wranglers have the same size door bolt. I suggest going to 4wd.com and order the trail tool, Part #: 4932181. It's like 6 bucks and will work on your door, and hardtop torx bolts too. You will probably also want to go to a local auto parts store and pick up a can of PB Blaster (like wd-40 but better) and let that saturate the hinges. Jeep doors are known for being stubborn. Once you take the nut off, just swing the door back and forth and pull up. Being that it's an 07 you shouldnt have too much trouble getting it off, it's good to have the PB Blaster on hand for other Jeep projects. Good luck!
